Timers are commands that can wait a certain amount of time before performing an action (control time).
Timers count in seconds or increments of seconds using the CPU internal clock. The set time duration of a timer is called a preset and is set in multiples of its base of time when it is used.

Timer Types
Delay-ON (ON-Delay - Delay-ON): It simply comes to the "on" position after a certain period of time. This is called TON, TIM or TMR.
Delay in Release (OFF-Delay - Delay-OFF): It simply comes to the “off” position after a certain period of time. This is called TOF.
